Sterling silver is a softer metal and though the piece has been work hardened the pin should still be treated with care. Too much pulling open, and bending around can cause the silver to soften and weaken possibly resulting in breaking. It’s meant to be worn, but also treated carefully when attaching and removing from clothing. If you take good care of it, this pin will be around for many years to come.
